2014 Secular Lobby Day
Date and time

Description
We welcome all secular and nontheistic Californians to our 2014 Secular Lobby Day!
In-person lobbying from constituents is still the most effective method for reaching elected officials. Because the representation of secular and nontheistic Americans is still very low, we need as many secular and nontheistic people to speak up and tell their elected officials that they are voting, paying attention to the issues, and showing who they are.
No experience is necessary, we will provide training on general lobbying and on the specific topics for our lobbying visits. After training, everyone will split into small groups and go to pre-scheduled appointments at the offices of elected officials.
Schedule
8:45am-9am - Registration
9am-10:30am - Lobby Training and Practice
10:30am-12pm - Meetings w/ Legislative Offices
12pm-1pm - Group lunch in the cafeteria (tentative, lunch not included)
1pm-4:30pm - Meetings w/ Legislative Offices
Please sign up as soon as you can, so that we can begin to schedule appointments with elected officials. The last day to register is April 23.
We have a room reserved in the Capitol for our training, we'll email details closer to the event.
